Flowerpot Dual Band Antenna
This document contains instructions and images to help members
build the Flower Pot Antenna.
It's a simple 2M VHF/70cm UHF dual bander built at minimal
cost as it requires only a metre of conduit and 2 metres of
coax!
This was a group project at a Workshop in 2015 and again
in2022.
It's such a reliable antenna that it we repeated the workshop again for newer members of the club.
Child Protection
The club has a comprehensive Child Protection policy in place
and the 'Child & Youth Risk Management Strategy' has been
uploaded.
We encourage our members to be familiar with our Child Protection policy as it is something that we take seriously and their vigilance will help us reinforce protection of Children within our Club and the wider community
CW Practice Oscillator
When Morse Code was mandatory students built oscillators so
they could hear how they were 'Sending' before going live on
air.
Now Morse is just for fun and from time to time we get a group
together for some Morse Code classes.
We built four Oscillators to use at the Club's JOTA event as
the scouts love to play Morse!
Another project which never goes out of date.
Document was created by VK4ION & updated parts & pricelist were added in 2022.
LDR / LED Circuit
At a Workshop we created this LDR [Light Dependent Resistor] /
LED circuit.
There were several matters that required correction, so the
additional steps in this document may help anyone who had
problems building this one at home.
Created by VK4ION to add steps to assist in the build.
Amplifier Project - From Schematic to Vero Board
This is a document prepared by Peter VK4PDG and contains
instructions and images to help members build a simple bench
amplifier.
Basic Electronics Course Part I
For the Beginner!
Step by step instructions to create some simple electronics
projects using LED, Diode, Resistor, Piezo Buzzer & 9V
Battery.
Ron VK4BRG ran this workshop.
VK4ION transcibed the notes and created the document
Basic Electronics Part II
This document follows Part 1 and contains instructions to
complete the next projects.
Introduces a simple circuit diagram and explains transitioning
a schematic diagram onto a breadboard.
Also introduces Variable Resistor, Transistor & Capacitors.
The document was compiled from Workshop Notes during club workshop sessions.
Basic Electronics Part III
This document is the final in the Basic Electronics Course.
Completes a series of electronics exercises using a voltage
regulator & crystal oscillator. Circuit diagrams and images of
final breadboard circuits are included to assist with each
Demo.
Note: To test these circuits additional equipment is required.
Read the documents before you begin so you understand how to
test the finished circuit.
Capacitor Conversion Chart
This document, compiled by Ron VK4BRG gives a quick overview of frequently used Capacitors, their value and EIA Code.
