Working in close contact with the Bundaberg S.E.S. under the Bundaberg Regional Council Disaster Management Plans our role is to provide emergency radio communications to support the Welfare function of the Bundaberg Local Counter Disaster Organisation.

W.I.C.E.N. members participate in training throughout the year.
Sessions involving both Theory and Practical work serve to coach the new members and provide refresher training for all.

Members gain competency skills in the setting up of portable stations at various centres, correct procedures for handling radio traffic and practice of those skills with radio drills.
