CLUB MEMBERS - COMPETITIONS

What's this all about?

Well don't we all just love a little competition?

The Club is instigating some friendly competitions between members and we hope everyone will join in.

To begin with we'll start with 3 different comps and see how we go.

First up we will begin to record the Member's Callsigns on the Monday night 2Metre net. There will be a monthly update published on the web and everyone will be able to watch the cumulative totals grow.

Then to foster all modes of Amateur Radio we'll run some VHF/UHF Distance Records in categories such as Home station, Mobile, Handheld, ATV and digital modes.

And then we added HF Distance Records in two categories Home station to portable and Mobile to Mobile. This one should appeal to those who go fishing and camping - now there's an excuse to take their radio gear as well.

It will be up to individual members to claim the distance record and submit their contact for consideration, so this is no time to be a shrinking violet.
